Autumn!
(Or Fall if you're in the States)
Ahhhh, this is one of my favourite times of year - Hearing the crunch of autumn leaves beneath your feet and watching children outside having conker fights, you know that the nights are beginning to get longer and the air outside is growing considerably chillier which means it's time to get our big, cosy jumpers out (result!) and start wearing boots to keep our feet dry in the (inevitable if you're in England) rain! Autumn is here!
Not only that but the colour of autumn is just absolutely beautiful. Watching the leaves on all of the trees change from a bright, lush green to yellow and then to fiery orange and then finally to a deep red just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not to mention all the fun you can have playing in piles of leaves or if you're creative, you can find some really beautiful colours to make collages and things from.
Another thing I love about this season is the fact that it is now acceptable to start eating hearty meals such as stew and dumplings and big roast dinners! My absolute favourite type of food! I don't know why but it just makes me feel really at home and festive. Also it's time to start snuggling up on the sofa with big mugs of hot chocolate topped with cream and sprinkles and marshmallows and if you're out and about in the daytime, 4 words - Starbucks' Pumpkin Spiced Latte - mmmmmmm!!

As summer draws to a close, it obviously means it's also time for every girl's favourite thing - Shopping!!
The season change obviously means that it's time to update our wardrobes! We can't go out in shorts and flip flops anymore, time to stock up of jeans, woolly jumpers, cardigans, pyjamas, hats, scarves, some nice boots and a new winter coat. What. A. Shame (:
Some other things that make me excited about autumn arriving are all the festivities that come with it: Hallowe'en, Bonfire Night and THE CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN!!
I don't know about you but my family take Hallowe'en very seriously - we always have a big party with loads of food and drink, everyone is dressed up, the house is decorated to the nines and it's just an absolute laugh every year! Every year we always try to one-up from the previous year as well which makes it even better!
And then a few days later comes Bonfire Night! One of my absolute favourites - Fireworks, Sparklers, Bonfires, Hot Dogs and Pumpkin Soup! It's a time that I really look forward to.
Now, I've saved the best until last... CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN! Christmas is my 100% favourite time of year. I don't know why or anything, it just is. I absolutely love everything about it, the countdown, the preparations, the day, the sales afterwards (tehee) just everything! I will do a separate blog post all about Christmas nearer the time :')
But these are all of the things that I love about autumn and I cannot wait for them to arrive!
Comment below and share with me all the things that you love about autumn, I would love to hear if you have any traditions or just things in general different to mine!
See you soon!
