*takes a deep breath*
Okay. I’m just going to be completely honest with you now – I literally have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to writing a blog.
I have never, ever in my life been very good at documenting things. For example, even as a teenager, I pretty much failed when it came to doing teenage-girly things such as keeping a diary (I’d write maybe 2 entries and then not touch it again for the next 2 years – this process happened repeatedly), using social media and, aside from the fact I’m doing it now, writing a blog. As a teenager, the only things I were good at were listening to rock music full-blast in my bedroom, or spending weekends sat on one of the many, MANY fields in my hometown with my small group of friends getting ‘drunk’ on the cheapest bottle of cider we could find or the most extravagant bottle of alcoholic stuff we could steal from our parents’ stash.
So naturally, my life wasn’t nearly interesting enough for me to think that anybody would be interested in what I had to write about myself.
I don’t really know what changed – I don’t really know what it was that made me decide to write a blog. I mean, my life isn’t any more interesting now as it was 6 years ago when I was at the height of my blasting-rock-music-and-getting-‘drunk’-on-cheap-cider phase. I work full-time as a manager and am in a very lovely relationship with a very lovely bloke – I will more than likely be posting a lot about him as he’s one of the only things in the world that makes me go all smushie (in a non-cheesbally way, obviously :|), apart from baby things i.e. cats. Baby cats make me go all smushie. And just baby things in general really. And miniature things. Like, miniature bottles of shampoo arewaayyyy cuter than the regular bottles. But anyway, I digress.
I guess I just wanted to do something new, something I’d never done, or even attempted before. Something that was New Territory for me. So I think that’s why I decided to do this and if people are interested in what I have to say then brilliant!! And if not, well I guess it will be nice to be able to look back on when I’m all old and wrinkly. (ew.)
Anyhow, I’m going to wrap this up for now as I have to be up in less than 5 hours for work (boooo :( I hate having responsibilities, lol)
